a wee bit of clarity

so i was hanging out at the kitchen table today, which is my virtual support system via Havi and Selma, when

BAM! i got a hit of clarity.

one of the participants posted about there being a distinct lack of second acts, and it got my head spinning.

see i am a second act junkie. i love the [...]

lists

i have just realized how much the making of and utilizing of lists play a part in my life

i like lists
lots and lots of lists
list that include things like put paper in folder, make copies, eat lunch, drink water-the small tiny “easy” steps… i like to collect the ticky marks and stars as [...]

leaving on a jet plane

the annoying thing about traveling on an airplane is the having to look  at all your objects as potential weapons

dental floss = yes = what? = duh strangulation

knee high socks = ? = also potential for strangulation but more effort seems required as stretchiness happens

toothbrush =? = could jab at eyes, likely hood of breaking [...]

i think i may have solved my holiday blahs

see i LOVE presents!

I like they way they look all pretty and shiny and i love it when they have my name on them. but i hate contributing to materialism in america and destroying the environment by buying crap. and about half the time i don’t really love what is under that pretty paper.

reflection on holiday-ness

mold yourself into the jello mold of the season taking with you only the good bits (this is my interpretation of said exercise)

i shall be raspberry jello cause E, my husband, loves raspberry jello pretzel dessert which i think might need to be made soon.

i love holiday lights. how it gets dark so bloody early [...]

reflexology and cancer

there are tons of studies going on about reflexology and how it helps those undergoing cancer treatments. one of my dearest friends and clients is having a mastectomy today and i felt the need to share a few thoughts on my reflexology is so helpful when dealing with cancer.

these are my thoughts and experiences only [...]

when in doubt

keep moving forward

there are no guarantees that this will work

especially if the way ahead is all cloudy and mist filled

you might fall down a hole

then again you might find treasure

but really plodding along is a very good way to just keep things going, it is much harder to stop-loose momentum and then have to start [...]

stuck… i’m stuck

when you have entered the land of stuck it is very hard to move.

like any movement has the potential to get you stuck-er.

like stuck to the point where you can’t use your hands or legs.

any movements are now getting the stuck up around your neck and like very soon you are going to be eating [...]

ahhh the paradox

excerpt from marc lesser’s blog

“A paradox is something that appears to be contradictory, unbelievable, or absurd but may in fact be true. Do less. Accomplish more. These statements present a paradox. Acknowledging, owning, and embracing the paradoxical nature of our lives, the lives of others, and the world can lessen our resistance to [...]
